Rustinm Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Ok, Im wondering if anyone out there has had simalar problems. I have this guy who called me yesterday that wants to buy both of my full line machines. He tells me to call him in the morning to get the address of the place that im going to deliver them to. I call him at 9 on the dot! HE DOESNT AWNSER! why can noone do what they say they are going to do! im so sick of ignornt @#$% people! And this is not the first time. I had a guy a month ago dissapear on me after i had the delivery already set up, and he just stopped responding, so here a month later he calls me still wanting the machine. Im sorry but there is no exscuse good enough to convince me that it was ok to not call me for a month! Im sorry your dad was sick, im sorry there was a death in the familly but pick up the damn phone, make a 30 second call and say hey some family stuff came up ill call you when it calms down! that is not too much to ask in my opinion! And im turining down other offers on these machines for this idiot who can awsner the phone at the exact time he told me to call him!!!! AHHHHHH. I geuss im just not a people person.
Bravo Duck Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Ahhhh Grasshopper....... Come to the top of the mountain and listen closely for the secret to a serene and peaceful life- No Expectations. Especially of someone you don't know. They may be a person of character and do what they say or they may not. You have no way of knowing untill you know them better. You will not be as frustrated if you understand that many people are not like you and hold very different values and norms of behavior. Fewer Expectations of those you do have a relationship with. Hey, even on our best days we all mess up. So if someone you have a relationship with (business or personal) makes a mistake, just forgive them and move on. If there is an underlying misunderstanding then get together and work it out so it doesn't happen again in the future. If you hold these attitudes in your heart then you can just go calmly about your day.
Quarter Master Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Rust, You gotta remember business is business.IMO,the first one that comes across with the price your comfortable with, gets it.Don't waste your time (and grey hair)waiting on one person to show up.Get the first cash in hand and move on.
G-man422 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Get the first cash in hand and move on.That is the best thing to do.

Yep first one to show up with CASH in hand gets it..
reel Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 i hate the kind that rings and never turns up when its time to show up with the cold hard cash. yes i agree he who turns up first with the cash gets the goods.
Rustinm Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 I agree with you all. Show me the money is my way of thinking also. The guy who i didnt hear from for a month is pissed off now, because i have this other guy that actually showed up and bought my snack machine, AND wants the pop machine AND is going to give me more money for it! So the other guy says that i pulled a stunt on him because we supposedly had a deal. Somehow he thinks i should trust him after blowing me off for a month. Are people completly stupid??? It does not suprise me that 75% of businesses fail within their 1st year when you have people like this trying to start a business!
cdman Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 secret to a serene and peaceful life? Bah humbug- Business is business, pick up the #@# phone. I feel your pain on all ends- buying, selling, placing, servicing... less and less people act in a professional manner everyday. Anyone have suggestions on how to deal with these people when they are your customers?
