tedk Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I have a Royal 376 pop machine that is showing sold out even though it is full. The coin mech is also full. I had touble with it a few months ago. The ballast was very hot and the lights were out. A tech told me to remove the lights and it worked fine after that. I just got new lights for it and put them in Thursday. When I came back on Friday the machine is showing sold out, but it isn't. I removed the lights and the display clears but as soon ayou put in money and make a selection, the display reads hold for 10-12 seconds and then goes to sold out again. I read on the Royal website that this may indicate a jam. Is there a way of determining which column. Naturally the columns are all full:X Thanks, Ted
ANDERSONVENDING Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Look under the bottom where the soda drops down.I can't tell you what it looks like because I only own Vendo and Dixie Narco. My Dixie did this a couple months ago.Hope this helps. John
Technivend Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 When a Royal does this it is usually the 3 amp fuse on the door. It is a borderline fuse but needed to protect the board so do not overfuse. There should be a spare fuse in the existing fuse holder but be sure to get some spares.
tedk Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Bill: Thanks for reminding me about that golpher fuse. That was the problem in September, and it was again this time. I'm going to have to replace the ballast before I try the new lamps again. John, thank you for your suggestion as well. Ted
