nam, the man.....

I just wanted to post some more appreciation for the swap forum that nam pretty much single handedly maintains! It is an invaluable resource for any vendor looking for some great deals. Nam, who doesn't get paid, takes some time out of his day, every day, and posts the best deals from across craigs list here for us all to see. So once again Thanks!! :D

What, I'm not getting paid? Steve said the check was in the mail.

Thank you very much and I appreciate your appreciation.  I love looking for deals and passing them on.  Often times I'm just the start of that process and you guys have to get them down a bit more on the price and actually make the deal.  Hope I've helped a few of you get some more machines makin money on the street.

kai,

Maybe there is some problem with the transfer of funds from the euro's to dollars and that's why the funds haven't hit my account yet. Ya think?

Antonio,

Your wife sent me a pm offering me $100 a month to stop posting ads in Illinois. Guess she thought it would be cheaper.   :D

Thanks nam!  I've landed two deals for a total of one rack and 8 sticker machines total for $350!  :)

You are indeed the nam, I mean the man!  Guess who got my vote for MOTM!

Nam, do you buy and sell machines for profit in your local area? I have done it out of necessity and found it very profitable. I have had a snack machines and two pop machines that i sold for a very good price, and i made 950$ profit on those machines, because i got such a good deal on them.

Rustin,

I've never bought and sold a vending machine since moving to Arizona. I sold machines rather than move machines here so have been trying to buy not sell. Now I'm over flowing with machines and need to stop buying and start placing with a passion again. I'm used to having massive numbers of machines to place so these too will get located.

Nam,

With how active you are here, how knowledgeable you seem to be on the industry and your time in the business.....I'm wondering how large of a route you have there in Az?

Nam is a stud. Thanks to Nam I have 2 racks and a spiral. I also have a strong desire for a quicker route to minneapolis since he finds so many good deals there :)

Nam,

I agree with all those wonderfull words said about you above, except the stud one hahahaha, then again you have the credentials to support the comment.

Im still waiting on those super deals for me here tho.

Nam sure is the man and he has helped me a great deal since i have been a member of this site, im hoping to buy him a beer in the not too distant future.

Thanks to nam, I will be picking up the following deals in the next 30 days:

1.  Garage full of parts/racks/machines/couple spirals - For a few hundred dollars

2.  6 sticker machines for $50 each

3.  6-way rack for $150, will use to make another 5-way rack and double

While the third one wasn't the greatest value I have ever found, I do need the stands and heads now more than usual.  I have 9 stops that need upgrades and don't have enough 4-way and 5-way stands to do them all, so this was one way to get the stand and some like new heads to build others.

The final tally on Deal 1, $350 for:

-2 spirals (5' Rally) - one works except for new locks needed, the other has a coin mech problem.  I have spare Beaver .25 mechs

-Large number of .25 NW, A&A PO89, Eagle and Oak heads.

-6 or 7 Pipe Stands

-Bunch of NW80s, in varying conditions, some will need lots of love, others are just about good for location now.  I think there were 5 or 6 altogether.

-Parts Parts Parts!  For A&A, NW, Eagle, Oak!

Also, since they are moving in three weeks, whatever doesnt go at their yard sale (not much since they are in a gated community) I can get for nothing, but they only have some plastic machines and a really reallllly old Victor rack from the 1970s, I think I pretty well picked it clean.

-There was also a 6' Spiral that was just ginormous and could never fit in my van, but no way to know if all the parts were there.

IMO Nam was the best thing to happen to these forums. He joined, saved my business and gave me the keys to a better life, then disappeared. I'm sure he did other things also, but those are the parts that I will remember him for.
