nepavend Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Just curious to see whether there are any other bowlers like me that are also crazy enough to belong to a few leagues and practice to be darn good at it. Lord knows, I had to be good at one sport, and it is bowling. I really stunk it up trying baseball, basketball, etc.
T BIRD Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Bowling was a very very big deal in my life many years ago Joe. I was pretty good at it. I gambled heavily on myself back then. It took its toll on my finances.......lol.
nepavend Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 Oh boy, gambling can bring you some bad karma! I had my biggest year ever this year, got my first 300 game and 800 series finally, and averaging 230+ in two of three leagues. But with everything going on, I have to cut back for next season. I have gone to the USBC nationals 6 years running (7 after June in Vegas!) and have about a 187 average out there, not too shabby when a lot of guys are barely making 100!
dapreachaman Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Joe you are the man!!! i am lucky to get 300 if i bowl three games. LOL at one time i used to be pretty decent, but i don't roll them anymore.
candyman_1984 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I myself enjoy the bowling. Wish I were better. 198 average on the good ole house shot. Throwing the twisted fury solid.
shvend Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Bowling huh, I was once quiet the bowler myself Joe. Was a pretty good JR. bowler but never stepped up to the next level. At 16 was averging 210 in our little morning leages we would have on the weekends. Won a couple of state tournmanets but never really took any further.
WillisNYC Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I used to do a lot of bowling too but nothing approaching what you guys are doing. I am happy to bowl one 135 game out of three in our annual family get together.
Gibbie Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I love bowling. I wish I was good at it. I'm in a league but I suck.
