That looks like a simple, yet fun addition to an Oak Vista. Is that a DIY job?

It's for sale on craigslist for $100 and it is listed as a collectible. The phone really works. Don't know if someone did this themselves or what but assume it was factory built and probably not many made.

Maybe it was a business opportunity.
