nam Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Family Arrested In Connection With Vending Machine Thefts Posted: 7:11 am EDT April 23, 2009Updated: 9:07 am EDT April 23, 2009 CAMBRIDGE, Ohio -- [/b] The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a West Virginia family has been arrested in the theft of money from vending machines at highway rest stops in southeastern Ohio. Officials said Wednesday that a couple and their 21-year-old son were pulled over and arrested Wednesday after being seen on a surveillance video leaving a rest stop on Interstate-77 in Guernsey County. The family is from Charleston, but their names have not been released pending theft charges expected to be filed on Thursday. Police said the thefts began in August 2008 along Interstates 70 and 77. Police said several tools used to break into the machines were found in the family's vehicle, along with cash and coins. The family is being held without bond at the Guernsey County Jail. vendingdelaltiplano Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I agree with you Nam. Vending should be a family business. We need to teach our children to work to get their own money. It´s a shame what this family did.
reel Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Trying to get teenagers to work is harder than working on a chain gang im sure lol
Jax Snacks Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 It can take time for the kids to warm up to the family business. Remember from the classic God Father movie, in the beginning Michael wanted nothing to do with the family business! How things can change! Jax
vendingdelaltiplano Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 The God Father, that´s one of my favorite books and movies. As you say Jax, it can take time. But at the end, teenagers could be able to manage their own lives and have financial independence throw their own business.
antoniocinisi Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I hate thieves.what an example for this kid.I am sure they were golpher bag whith trash to begin with.
shvend Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I agree also nam and being one of those kids that was brought up in the family business I know how rewarding it is to take what was once your grandfathers and dads and keep it moving forward. 3rd generation vendor only 12 to 13 more years until mine starts collecting these quarters (of course with daddy's help)
