BudLeiser Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Reading up a bit vendstar 3ks seem to be the cheap but good enough workhorse of the bulk vending. I haven't bought any yet, I think their downright ugly. Has anyone taken the time to try and repaint these things? Got pics? Tips? Anyone added weights to the bottom for stability and theft deterrent?
shvend Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Bud, to be honest I don't own the first one. But I do know of people using Krylon plastic paint and painting them. I am with you they are the ugliest machines out there but they are supposed to be decent. I guess you could add some kind of weight to them. But I don't know how you would do it. The only suggestion I would have is to order a pipe stand from A&A
JPVendCo. Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 you could put concrete inside the stand pole. lol. I need to try this painting thing. Me and one of my buddies did some custom painted computer cases, came out pretty good. but that wasn't plastic....
nam Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I've seen some painted that looked pretty good but haven't tried it to my own. I think the Vendstar looks good in an office setting and even better than a big bright red or yellow machine that stands out like a sore thumb. You wouldn't be able to change to a reg. metal pole because the bottom of the base has no threads. The Vendstars are simply pressed together into the base and the bottom of the machine itself. Seriously, the problem is in getting them apart if they've been assembled for a long time. nam
