Looking for bulk vending software ideas and recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for software for bulk vending that lets us load info into our our computer while running our routes without having to be connected to the internet?

I would prefer software that does not store the information on someone elses server and not require being connected to the internet.  I don't want to pay the fixed monthly fee for mobile internet.  Been there and done that twice.  First it isn't like cell phone service - no where near the coverage and too expensive when I'm paying for the service at home already.  Don't want to seem paranoid but we hear constantly about hackers getting into systems and stealing information.  I'd just feel better knowing the information was only on my computer and not a distant server.

Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions and especially recommendations on other software you my be using.

I am just getting started and haven't begun to investigate software yet, but I was thinking of a simple Excel Spreadsheet that I can keep on my Blackberry and update as I go.

Not sure if that will work or not but for a startup with not a lot of machines yet, I am hoping it will.

Despite your reservations, I would say... use Vendtrak!!! 

I also recommend Excel spreadsheets, and Vendtrak allows you to export lists from there to Excel, so you can rearrange and work how you want to see the data.
