alyssamma Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I requested a refund once and got it immediately. Kevin
G-Vending Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Rob sent me an email asking if I wanted my money back because he could not find a location for me as soon as I said yes it was posted to my pay-pal account.
lurtsman Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Rob found locations for me. I have no interest in a refund, I like the spot (I can't fathom how his employees talked that manager into letting NCCS put a machine there. She is so grouchy!)
alyssamma Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Guys, the OP asked if it was difficult to get a refund, not if a refund was needed For me personally I needed it. Dealing with KS was a nightmare and I've gone back to Midwest. I know for others it is the opposite and Rob has found them great locations. But none of that answers the OP's question. Not trying to start a war, just trying to keep things on topic Kevin
G-Vending Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I answered his question i said it was easy to get your money back.. Or it was for me..... alyssamma wrote: Guys, the OP asked if it was difficult to get a refund, not if a refund was needed For me personally I needed it. hello Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 I'd rather not get into specifics of my situation but I will say, for the good of this community, in my opinion rob/KS was not that good. I waited months and months for him to find me a location, and I wouldnt get an update unless I asked first. When a location was finally "secured", I found that the owner of the location had no idea what I was talking about so I had to repitch him. That should not be my job to repitch the owner, what am i paying a professional locator for then... I am now looking elsewhere.
Quarter Master Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Hello, I can understand your frustration, but I notice you have Wizard machines. If it is a problem with them, you need to understand they are a harder machine to locate because of size.I have run into things like the owner didn't want the double or triple I was trying to pitch. He only wanted a single. Also good communication with the locator is a must.Hang in there,it'll get done.
hello Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 this wasnt a case of the wizard. also it wasnt the case that the owner didnt want the particular machine, it was that the owner had no previous knowledge of discussing this with anyone and had no idea what i was talking about. i felt rather foolish.
mrs.caserri Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 hello, please feel free to post about your experience in the 'locator reviews' section! mrs. caserri
deee_z Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 mrs caserri, i am unable to get into the locator review, as i am still a basic. i could have swore the post 30 posts were moved to plus status.
antoniocinisi Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Rob is a member here I am surprised he isn`t defending himself.is he guilty perhaps?
alyssamma Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I wouldn't say Rob is "guilty". Kickstart gets just as much negative and positive press as Midwest does. I'm in the group that tried Rob and wasn't happy and decided to stick with Midwest. But there are just as many here that have had the reverse experience and don't like Midwest and love Kickstart. Bottom line - none of the locators are perfect Kevin
candyman007 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 We are constantly working on improving our services. We always try to work with a client even if that does mean providing a refund. Regards, Rob

alyssamma Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Rob is a member here I am surprised he isn`t defending himself.is he guilty perhaps? Antonio...this is what you wrote. Not trying to start a war, but you did ask if he was "guilty" I responded saying I didn't think so Kevin
alyssamma Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Kelly, what are you talking about? I responded *first* to this thread and on topic. Is there a reason you addressed this to me specifically and not the others here who responded about KS being good which is not at all what the OP asked?

That should not be my job to repitch the owner, what am i paying a professional locator for then... I am now looking elsewhere. I would completely agree with hello and alyssamma; I have encounter the same issue's...There hasn't been one time I haven't had to re-sell an account myself...I was under the impression that hiring a locator and a telemarketing one at that this would be removed for the equation...The owners not knowing about you is only one issue or your charity is even worse, you go in looking like a jerk and a cold caller...Oh did I mention when you go in these owners think they are getting a chunk of your profits...Hummm, why did I hire this fellow again? Wasn't he suppose to remove this from the locating? Here it is May and I'm currently waiting for relocations which were paid for last DEC...I see now I will probably never collect on my relocations and not even get a refund via pay pal. Therefore I want anyone considering Mr. Patterson :Xto take a long read and go elsewhere with their hard earned money.
antoniocinisi Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Antonio...this is what you wrote. Not trying to start a war, but you did ask if he was "guilty" I responded saying I didn't think so Kevin asking of guiltyness isn`t claiming he is though, right?
jmoffet Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I had to post on here about my bad experience before I could get my refund. However, I did get my refund.
spdydre Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I also asked for a refund from KS. I was given 3 locations and none of them knew who I was or ever hearing about a machine. what a waste of money I think its hit or miss with KS honestly I would take my business elswhere with a 50/50 chance thats not a good number to rely on

I don't know what the process is for finding locations, but it seems each customer has a distinct experience. So far it's going well for me. I wish you had the same experience, because it's much harder to be a charity vendor without having a locator that you feel comfortable relying on. (Especially if you have another job full time. /crosses fingers on getting the position I applied for today. I have some friends pulling strings for me, so it may happen.)In short, if you're working full time, having a locator is a useful tool to have available. I haven't had to ask for any refunds from KS or MW, but midwest is about to have their replacement policy tested as some locations haven't been living up to their guarantee. I hope you have a better experience with whichever locator you try next.
