BudLeiser Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I had just assumed everyone filled their machines 100% full during initial placement. Someone's post got me to thinking...Do they? So please answer my poll, and then reply with an expansion on why you do what you do.
kai1836 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Bud, I can only speak for myself. I fill candy half full. Gum, toys, or bouncy balls get filled all the way. Candy will go bad much sooner than gum or non-perishable items. If the candy moves fast though at the first servicing I'll fill it all the way. Hope this helps.
Medford Jeff Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Same here. Until you know how fast the product will move, start with 1/2 full. Maybe 2/3 at the most. Use labels to fill up the open space at the top to make the machine look more professional. Jeff
sterling Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I've even filled the heads 1/4 or less to start. Especially if I was going to check it after only a few weeks. I always explain to the owner that I am gauging the location so product doesn't become stale. They always appreciate this.
caserri Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Anyone else had a business owner demand full machines? I don't accept demands of any kind from any location. This is my business and I run it accordingly. Steve
davidsurvz Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 i ale=ways do 1/4 to 1/2 depending on product and type oof location.
