Washing machine bill acceptor/timer issue

I just purchased two timer boxes to use on my washing machine and dryer at my rental properties. http://www.weavefuture.com/convert_washer_or_dryer_into_bill_acceptor_note_validator.htm The timer box has a bill acceptor and a timer board with display that has a relay that closes as long as their is time remaining. Basically I wired the dryer door switch into the relay and the washing machine power into the other box's relay.  The dryer box has been giving me fits and the washer one seems to work fine. It frequently accepts the bills but doesn't register the time. I took the box off and brought it home to test it out and I ran 100+ bills through it with no issue. Could the door switch somehow be creating some kind of EMF that is scrambling the pulse signal? This thing is driving me nuts and I have no not idea what could be wrong with it because when I test it at the location, it has issues, when I bring it home, it works fine. Any suggestions?
