Single pipe stand prices

I bought all my stands from Amerivend years ago and am now looking for more. I recently looked at Amerivend again and noticed they've increased their price to $35.00.

There is no reason why a good quality pipe stand should cost more than $25-$30.

Can anyone recommend a supplier in this range?

I feel your pain with these pipe stand prices. Anything made of metal had gone up greatly. I have found no great alternatives. But here are some things to think about:

1. Try the Tempo stand from NW for about $20. It is much lighter and will ship much cheaper - especially in larger quantities. It's good for singles and doubles. I am converting a lot of my hoops machine to Tempo stands and using the pipe stands somewhere else.

2. Find a metal fabricator in your area to see if they can make stands for you. Or at least the bases. You can buy the threaded rods and flanges from Lowes or Home Depot. But you will have to re-drill the holes of the flanges since they don't match up. Or you could buy the standard flanges from LYPC.

3. There was a company in Ocala, FL called Metalcraft that used to make stands for cheap. Not sure if they still do or how cheap they are now.

4. Be on the lookout for stands via CL and ebay. When you find a deal, pounce on it! I found 13 pipe stands from a former vendor for just $25 for all of them to help clear out his garage.

The cost of metal products will continue to rise as the economy picks up someday. New equipment prices is getting pretty ridiculous. Just glad I am not starting from scratch in this new economic reality. Hope you find a deal somewhere!

I had to go through a round of buying stands and found A&A the cheapest with shipping.Of course the more you buy, the cheaper they get.They were running $27-28 for the silver vein 30".I'm sure the black would be a little less.

I know a guy that sells them for $30

I got several pipe stands from them Single pipe & dual.

He doesn't have the stands up on the website, but he does carry them, you just have to ask.

I saved the link to Metal Craft awhile back when I was looking for stands. They don't have a price listed on the site but it might be worth a try calling them. I decided to go with the Tempo stand. Here's the link to Metal Craft:

I have about 10 used stands that I can prolly let go for about $15 each. Might be only doable for local pickup tho.
