seemore1 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I was thinking it might be good to get my stand bases covered in that spray on bedliner material. They would never rust and would not leave floor marks. Please let me know if it has been done and the results. Thanks
nam Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 seemore, Thanks sounds like a good idea to me. How much would they charge for doing some round steel bases if you have checked? That would last forever, not come off like a molding, and not leave that nice ring on the floor. nam
seemore1 Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 I haven't checked yet. I will check in the next couple of days and let you know. Craig
JPVendCo. Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Ive used bedliner on a few other types of things. that stuff is tough! I wonder if I could put it on my garage floor.........
havending Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Never thought of it but sounds like a great idea. Good thinking
BudLeiser Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I was thinking of carpeting the bottom of mine. So as not to scratch anyones floor. Not a discussion I am looking forward to.
seemore1 Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 I worked out a deal with my local line-x bedliner guy. He is going to do the bases of my stands for my routemaster machines for $10 each. That is complete prep and complete cover. It is guaranteed for life. It will never come off and it will never leave a rust mark on a floor. All that for $5 less than it was going to cost to powdercoat them.
nam Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 seemore, That sounds like a great deal not to ever have the problem of a rust ring again! nam
Amall23 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Lining sounds great. Would it completely null the use of a rubber ring then?
antoniocinisi Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 it will eventually peel off if it gets nicked or something.at least you got lifetime warranty
seemore1 Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 I had them completely covered top and bottom so it will never chip or peel. If it ever does they will redo it for free.
