Fastcorp OD820 ice cream vendor "machine must be set up"

Hello i am trying to repair a Fastcorp OD820 ice cream vendor.  I am having issues with the machine giving me a error "machine must be set up" this happens after only a short time of the machine being disconnected from the mains power supply.  I have replaced the clock chip and gone through the set up again, left it over night and the machine was fine until i disconnected the mains power supply.

Is there a battery on the board that needs to be replaced?

No there is no battery on the board. I did change the Dallas DS14287 Chip But still getting the same fault.

There must be a. battery somewhere. How else can it remember programming. It may be built into control board as the older AP snack machines

When last I spoke to Fastcorp tech support, the department was one guy (who is very good) but he has to charge you I think $ 95 an hour to talk to you!  I did get info on board repairs, they recommend United Changers in Medford, NY, phone (631) 654-1230.  I hope that helps....

The Dallas chip is the clock and battery

They get corrupted very easily, I never change them without a ground strap and a grounded mat

I've ruined more than I care to remember by not taking precautions.
