tismael56
Hey guys, I have an AP SnackShop 113 but I removed the door a while back and put it back together today. After the door was replaced, I noticed there was a gap and it doesnt look the best. I figure there is a piece of trim that I am missing but the closest thing Ive found is on D&S Vending but too expensive for a rectangular piece of plastic!! If anyone has the part, Id be interested in taking it off your hands.
AZVendor
Why did you take the control panel trim off? It doesn't need to come off to remove the door or the swing out control panel. How is it that you don't still have the trim bezel? They are chromed metal and they aren't light, and did you keep the screws for it? You are in the wrong business if you can't afford to pay for replacement parts. You have to remember this machine is 30 years old so parts are hard to find and when you find one you need to buy it before you can't find it again. This is not a business for cheapskates, though that is mostly what vendors are. I should know, I did repairs for them for 32 years and got stiffed plenty. AZvendor, I respect you a lot for the wealth of knowledge you have and have brought to this board. However, shitting on someone for losing a part and then asking if someone has one they would sell for cheap isn’t cool. We all golpher up and lose stuff, and at the end of the day there isn’t anything wrong with finding good used parts to save money. Cheap would be not replacing the trim at all. This is called being frugal. Also, being able to afford a part doesn’t automatically mean you should buy it, or that it makes sense to. I mean, I could technically afford to throw my mechs and vals away everytime they broke and buy new in box ones. But it makes no buisiness sense to. I don’t have piles of cash to light on fire. Is that being cheap? Or just using my money wisely?
falls
ebay , you only actually are missing the frame. New from D&S Edited March 12, 2020 by falls add d&S
tismael56
Thank You all much appreciated, especially you @falls and @orsd. To answer your question @AZVendor , I've been doing Vending for under a year and when I moved this machine, it had only been a month since I had started. I do not recall removing the door trim because that would have meant as you said removing the screws that held it in place. It is quite likely that I bought the machine like this . tismael56
Good news guys, I located the missing part! It turns out my younger brother had it and he thought it was a license plate frame.

When someone asks for help with their Seaga machine, or asks how to charge a compressor themselves, I know he's working up a good response. He's brash... but it's funny. It's like being roasted by the late Don Rickles. You should be honored.
tismael56
@darkinthepark Im sorry you like to feel honored when someone roasts you. Obviously losing a part is a mistake because it costs money to replace that part but I do not recall asking people to reiterate my mistake to me. In addition, not wanting to pay $60 + ridiculous shipping from d&s vending for a rectangular shape of steel and plastic seems reasonable to me. Like orsd said, a cheapskate would leave the machine as is. Im dropping this however and appreciate the helpful responses of the users who actually read the question. tblake05
D&S is a little outrageous on their shipping charges. I had them quote two LED bulbs for one of my machines. The bulbs came to just over 100.00 which I was OK paying, but the shipping made my total near 200.00. No thanks. I found bulbs locally and went with a different solution. So I feel your pain with the shipping charges from D&S.
