chris in md Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I personally don't have any in gov't buildings, but the guy I bought my machines from said he had one in a gov't building and it did very good for him. He said the gumballs sold extremely well (he thought it was b/c there was no smoking within a certain distance of the building). Not sure how the machine got placed b/c he said he bought a route and it was already in there. One downside (maybe) is many gov't buildings are closed on the weekend, so no sales two days of the week and you can't get in there to service it. - chris
shvend Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 kai, I have machines in a couple of municpial buildings, fire stations, and police stations. They do very well good luck though on getting them located in them. But it is possible!
Quarter Master Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I have some federal and state gov't accounts that do okay, but nothing to brag about. The limited working times cut down on sales-M-F 9-5,closed weekends and all holidays. It's mainly a breakroom thing for employees. If you can find a place with a good number of people and the right product(s),you can do alright.
lurtsman Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 My library is doing okay. Grossing at a rate of about 100$/month on a 20% commission. (Profits around 50-60$)
joebob051977 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Well gee. I suppose $100/mo is doing "okay," you know, it isn't good, but it is okay. LOL
sbishop Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 i have a vendstar 3k in a water department where everone pays their bills. It is not the best, and not the worst either
sprint54fan Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 We do a couple fire departments, a couple police stations..and have 3 Courthouses..the police and fire stations do well but the courthouses are usually SLOW...
wmboy Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I bought some machines off a guy who had one of them located at a police station. It did about $80 turnover a week, but unfortunately the powers that be decided the cops shouldn't have access to sugar that easily so he had to remove it from that location. Worth thinking about...
