you usually don't want too many bulk machines spread too far.....however if you have full line machines can you have a more distant route and still be profitable?

Iwould have to say it all depends on how much money the location makes, most of my locations are within 5-10 miles of each other but I do have 1 thats 30 miles away, you have to decide is it worth your time and gas money to go there and back to service the machine, if it is try to places other machines close or even some bulk machines in the same area so you have extra income coming in from that distance.

I have bulk machines in all my full line locations and it even opens up anywhere along the way for more bulk machines because you're going that far anyway.NO EXTRA GAS TO SERVICE THESE LOCATIONS.

There are 5 machines there they only need serviced once a week. The 60 miles is one way. Sound like an ok location for full line?

Here are some potential problems...

1) Bad weather will make that 60mi seem a lot farther.

2) A call saying that something is broken, meaning you need to go out and fix something, will be a real PITA.

I would do it, but I would start building more stops along the way, both full line and bulk to help offset the gas money, as long as you have to go you should make some extra stops.

would you travel 60 miles for a location making 13k per year?

Kai1836,

I would say no for many reasons, unless you can generate some other stops along the way like gr vending said. You have to consider all your expenses, like cog, commission, taxes, gas and your time. Which works out to be around 100.00 per week or less. Hope this helps :D
