saberwielders
Sorry total newb here to vending and first post so go easy on me. I have a Royal 650 all setup for 20oz bottles. Trying to vend 16oz Red Bull in it and it has worked sporadically but will jam after it vends 4 or 5 times successfully. Am I doing something wrong? Need a shim? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to the vending journey.
AZVendor
Make sure the anti-bridging teflon sheets are applied to that column so the cans won't bridge (get stuck side by side.) Then you need to ensure that you have set your product depth to CAN so the motor will stop sooner and not allow cans to stack on each other in the rotor. saberwielders
Sorry for my ignorance but that sounded your response was in another language. Can you clarify?
Southeast Treats
Yes, you need a shim. Royal only has one shim that I know of, a metal flap that inserts in the 2 horizontal slots on the left side of the column just above the cam, it hangs down and fills in the gap so only one product at a time will try to vend. Cheap and easy to install. I have vended 16 oz and 12 oz red bull in that model of machine using the shim and have no problems.
Southeast Treats
As for AZ's answer, the anti bridging sheets are the plastic sheets that are on both sides of the column a little further up, they help keep the containers from jamming together in the column. An occasional cleaning with a clean cloth and food grade silicon keeps them happy, but that is not your problem here. As for the "can" setting, I have no idea, I have never seen that in the royal programming myself. You depth selection (SDEP) in programming should be set to 1 for single depth product, again not seeing that as the problem in your photo though. saberwielders
Can anyone show me what this shim looks like or link to one? Sorry totally new at this I really appreciate the great information and support.
saberwielders
Would this be the correct shim to use? Its the "royal water shield". I see like 5 or 6 different Shims for Royal and not sure which one to use.
AZVendor
No. That is a bracket that mounts above the bill acceptor opening. You need the bottle filler shims.
saberwielders
Ok so the only bottle filler shim I see is for the 16.9oz bottles....i need a shim for 16oz can and the shim for the 16.9 oz bottles looks longer than the 16oz can so it wouldn't work. Southeast Treats
There is only one shim for the royal vendor, it fits the depth of each column.

Southeast Treats
Sorry I don't have a part number for you. If you call Royal parts dept or a vending parts supplier they should be able to understand "royal 650 shim". If you call Royal they may take a long time shipping, they have been pretty backed up since they moved. If you don't know any parts suppliers this is a list of some I have used, in no particular order. Other people here may have other suggestions for suppliers. https://www.royalvendors.com/customer-service/contact-support/ https://www.dsvendinginc.com/ http://www.thevendingcenter.com/ https://www.veii.com/
