Has anyone ever changed this machines to CANS?

shown here you would need to change cam settings How do you do that?also it shows to add a shim where would i find them?

Changed to cans - yes. Proper shims received from Pepsi (machines were "leased" from them.) Changing the cam settings is simple after removing the motor cover (that aluminum block in front of the drink slots.) There might be 2 black plastic loops on this block. Pull up and away on these and the block should come away from the motors. Changing the cam settings simply requires you to pull and rotate the front plastic piece on each motor to make the "pin" sit in the correctly numbered slot.

Once you have the correct shims, and after you have changed the cam settings, vend each selection once or twice (so the cam is not fully upright nor pointing fully downward; you may have to hold down the metal paddle in the slot so the machines doesn't think the selection is sold out.)

Each shim should now be easily removed by pulling up at the front of the shim but sometimes can take a little force. Drop in the can shim and fiddle with it a little to make sure it is seated correctly. Do another one (or two) vends to get the cam pointing fully up or down and load er up! If I remember correctly, cam pointing up (so the cans sit IN the cam as opposed to ON the cam) means no test vends necessary after you're done. Otherwise, test each slot (up to three times) until a can falls.
