T BIRD Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I am having a real problem with these capsules opening in the NW 60 machine they are in. And then what makes it worse is the string gets hung up on the springs!....... Any one else vend these out there? They are a big seller for me. http://www.aaglobalind.com/bulk-vending/bulk-vending-toys/1-1-inch-capsuled-toys/MONHCV-monkey-head-danglers-bulk-vending.htm
Quarter Master Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 T Bird, What kind of capsules ? I've heard the acorns will pop open, but not the round ones.
shvend Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 T, I don't vend them myself but just looking at the display they look like they should be in a round cap
lurtsman Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Round caps is one of the things that has me thinking about trying brand. I deal with several acorns popping open in my machines. Filling them less full seems to help by reducing the pressure on the ones in the bottom where the agitator is going through, but that means more frequent servicings.
Medford Jeff Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I do not sell the monkey danglers, but I do sell other 1.1" acorn caps. I too have had problems with caps popping open in the machine, resulting in mis-vends and unhappy customers. I like the products and service from AA, but I think the rounds caps are becoming a must-have for the future. I can't run the risk of losing locations because of misvends. Jeff
dperry Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I wonder if places like A&A and Brand will cap their own product? Or do they get the items in bulk then cap/package themselves? If they cap their own, then I think that is something we can tell them that we perfer.
nam Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Brand hasn't been selling in acorn for awhile. They've already been using only the round capsules. nam
Jax Snacks Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Don't foget Actionmatic, they have a large inventory of products in round caps. I now have to inspect every bag of acorn caps and then pore them into another box to flush out the broken ones. A real pain, but too manny misvends can get you booted! Jax
havending Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 A&A has capping contractors. Most of their product is capped by speical needs schools. it helps the schools rais money. cardinal also uses the same idea. the only company I know of thats gets product already capped is CEI/TNT
T BIRD Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 Brand hasn't been selling in acorn for awhile. They've already been using only the round capsules. nam The problem with Brand is they do not offer nearly as much as A&A.
T BIRD Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 Are you guys vending them at .25 or .50I vend the one inch danglers at 50 cents. Why do you ask?
nam Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 T Bird, The problem in the post was acorns capsules popping open not the size of our suppliers. But since this is your post and you brought up this subject here goes. Brand is a smaller company and they don't have as many products to offer. Sometimes a smaller company can respond quicker and try a little harder as well. Brand stopped doing acorn caps along time ago in favor of nothing but round capsules when other suppliers were and still are selling acorns. Brand also has the largest selling 1" caps in history. Some times not being as big can be an advantage. Brand also was the first to provide price lists. Others followed afterwards is the way I remember that happening. Even if you had ordered the Monkey Heads from another supplier you would have known to at least question why they were in acorns and not round capsules if you had been ordering from Brand. nam

Dont respond to what I write. You make me dizzy.
nam Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 T Bird, You make a huge quote on everything I post and then a negative comment. You stop, I'll stop! I'd rather not read your negative comments or have to respond to them but what goes around comes around. nam
nam Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Kelly, You been doing the same thing. You started a thread just to try to start something. So like what you have to say on this matters. Right. nam
nam Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 T Bird and Kelly, We can disagree with each other all day without getting personal. I have responded to what I consider to be personal attacks not disagreements. This going back and forth isn't what I want to do and sure no one else here wants to read. I suggest we call a truce and refrain from this type of post. If you just can't help yourself then send me a pm so no one else needs to read this stuff. Deal? nam
Bravo Duck Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Bob once told me to check all capsules coming fron A & A, that was good advise.
