kurobaxkaito Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Hello guys, I am happy to be part of your community and I have started the vending business just a few days ago. I have one seabreeze combo machine and one nesquik (yes, nesquik) beverage machine which I sell sodas, water, etc. First off, I had a few questions about the legal stuff involved in the business. I live in Calif. and I was wondering if there are paperwork to be filed and permits I have to aquire. I am still young and have zero clue on this stuff. I had someone who has been in this business for a while help me out in locating the machine as well as the location and according to him, I don't need a license. He told me to get a seller's permit so I can get goods without tax but I don't know if this is legal or not. It would be great if I get some feedback on this topic. Secondly, I don't know if anybody out there owns the same machine but it is a satellite combo machine called 'seabreeze combo' by Avanti? I'm guessing all this but I was wondering if it is possible to put a 'ivend' on such a small machine. Lastly, any tips on vending and the products to put as well as good equipments to use to load goods faster would all be appriciated. I hope to be contributing to the community once my knowledge has expanded on this business. Thanks in advance guys!!
ageevending Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 wow.... your asking for a lot in one post. so 1. Yes you need a business license in whatever city you're based in. 2. I'm in CA to you need a Seller's Permit from the Board of Equalization. 3. You can buy products without paying sales tax, however you must pay quarterly sales taxes to the state. 4. The state requires that you have a sticker on each machine which states your company name, address, phone number and sellers permit ID. 5. I have a satellite combo, why put i-vend on it? and yes you can, but y? 6. Read the post herein.. they touch on the product subjects
