Dixie 501e Live display evaporator completely frozen?

So was checking one of my locations and I always check evaporators now . I've seen top line froze on ones but this one looked like the back of a deep freeze top to bottom up to metal line even blocking drain line. So I felt for evap fans air and seemed like one wasnt running would that be the cause or just really low on freon? Thanks for any assistance.

Check your cold control first. If it is good then check the evap fan for good air draw

It could be a few things.  It could be a bad thermostat but your soda should be frozen too.  It could be an air leak from a bad seal, stuck/missing delivery door, or you didn't close it properly last time.  The evaporator fan could be bad, missing blades, or you could have a clogged drain.  Lastly, your compressor could be bad.

Ok because I turned thermostat down to 0 and it shut off compressor just fine also I figured i needed to dethaw but none of my pop was frozen.

Let it thaw and check it the water drains completely.  If the water doesn't drain, and you have a pool of water, the that's your problem.

Or an air leak from a bad door seal, worn out T-handle or a problem with the delivery door.
