Vintage Pepsi Bottle Machine Coin Op issues

I just bought a Pepsi bottle dispensing machine.  It is a VFA 56B-B  The coin op mechanism is a FPB-9800.  There are 2 issues.  When I first brought it home a few weeks ago, the coin op worked fine.  2 dimes resulted in dispensing a bottle.  Now, when I try it, the first dime was taken and the second dime drops right thru.  No bottle is dispensed.  The second issue is that there are coins in the coin mech, but I have no idea how to get them out.
