new2this Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Hi, To all 1800 vendors. I have a question. Does any of your 1 800 vending machines have a plastic base? On youtube there is a demonstration on how to put a 1 800 vending machine together, but that guy had a metal base that you bolt to the pole with four screws. The one I have looks like a vendstar base and pole (meaning I guess I just slide the pole into the opening on top of the base). Any help is appreciated. Oh, the machine I have a the hunter green machine with the matching base and pole. Thanks, TCoop
nam Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Almost all of mine are green with metal bases and use the 4 screws you mentioned. Seems like I have 2 burgandy ones in my storage area that did have plastic bases but seems like even those had screws too. Not 100% positive on that but pretty sure. nam
candygirl Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I have 1-800's with the plastic bases. These are the models from 1-800's earlier days--initially the bases were plastic, not metal. You push the metal pole into the base and tap it firmly on the floor to secure it. Barb
G-man422 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I also have the green 1800's. All of mine have metal bases and poles.
Faith Vending Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 All mine have a metal base with the 4 screws. Plastic bases must be old 1-800.
tooldini Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Do they still make the bulk machines? I can't seem to find them online on the website.
nam Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 tooldini, They no longer make these machines and are not on their web site. nam
G-man422 Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 There is still a website, but I'm not sure if they still sell them (they are overpriced from 1-800 anyway). Here is the link: http://www.1800vendingtriple.com/
tooldini Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I wasn't thinking of buying from them but wondered if they still made them since I didn't see them on the websited. They look like some of the best machines I have seen and would fit in nicely with the decor of many restaurants around here. There are too many Kuwanis gumball machines around here
tooldini Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 My anti virus Avast pulls a virus warning when I click that link. Do you guys get that? It could just be a false positive though.
