100Main
Hello All, Our business recently acquired an old Royal G-II (390-9), and everything seems to be in working order. Unfortunately, we cannot seem to figure out how to change the prices. It did not come with a Direct Exchange/Uniform Communication Standard, or compatible hand held computer. The operation and service manual makes mention of the HHC being used to lock out manual programming. Can someone tell me where I can buy a used HHC, or is there some sort of factory reset that will allow us to bypass having to get one? Thank you! AZVendor
Hand held computer which is NOT needed to change prices. Those were used by Coke drivers to record the sales. Enter the service mode and move to PASS where you enter 4231 as the password. That will get you to the level where pricing is.
100Main
Thank you for the quick response! Unfortunately, there isn't a PASS option on this old machine. When we try to follow the instructions in the service manual, everything has worked fine until it comes to a point to actually change a previous setting. There is an instruction to hold down one of the selections switches for two seconds, and that is supposed to change the cost, but it doesn't change. We've now run into the same problem in the Space-To-Sales mode as well, hold down the selection button for two seconds to make changes, and nothing happens. Is it possible there's another problem? Thank you for your help!
AZVendor
Maybe it's a bad selection panel or a bad logic board.
AngryChris
If it's anything like a 2000 board, you'll have to press the service mode button, then hold the door switch (I use my foot) and keep pressing the top selection button to scroll to pricing
