drewfriedman2
Happy Friday everyone, I recently upgraded an AP 111 with an InOne board, it looks very similar to the one in the picture I attached. After retrofitting the new board into the machine, I plug it in to test it and the keypad with either not work with some keys or spit out random numbers for others. On top of that, it is throwing errors for non-existant selections. I can't clear these errors because the keypad is not working! Any suggestions? I tried to call their hotline, but was sent to voicemail, likely due to it being Friday after business hours. Thank you for any help you may have! allen watson
“Half turn” That is the single most trouble I’ve had installing an InOne board. It’s kind of a guessing game on the orientation of the keypad ribbon. Someone here on the forum may have a definitive answer as to how to identify the correct pin alignment 🤷🏻♂️ Edited June 4, 2022 by allen watson
AngryChris
There are "keys" on the ribbon cables that need to match up. Look closely at the ribbon cables and notice a single pin missing as well as a missing stripe on the ribbon. That's how you can tell.
Popular Post Arnie InOne
The keypad setup on an InOne AP 110 kits consists of 3 parts, the 11-1700-03 keypad cable, male header and the 110 replacement keypad itself. Pin 2 is missing on the 1700-03 harness and there will be a corresponding tracing on the keypad that goes nowhere. Match the blank tracing on the keypad ribbon to the missing wire on the 1700-03 keypad cable. The male header should have all 13 pins intact as shown in the photo below. There is also a triangle or "I" mark on the ribbon or header to designate pin 1 location. Ensure switches 2&3 are pushed down on the controller, everything else up. That sets the controller for an AP110 keypad. Then plug the keypad harness into J10 on the controller (inboard connection) and keys should work properly
