Strange issue. USI machines again. (Just don’t learn my lesson)

Recommended Posts

Bought a couple more last night for what I thought was a great deal on the pair. (800.00). Very nice shape.

moved them today to a location. Auto shop only 10 employees but customer flow and waiting room.

they are wittern 3506 2 wide snack gvc1 controller round buttons. And 3505 wittern slave soda.

placed, loaded, motor count correct at 18, set bottles/cans, tube fill. Priced. All good!

test. Each snack item will drop 3 and return with sold out and credit will remain. The soda machine works 100% drops only one item even for cans.

the soda machine uses a drop sensor, whereas the snack machine does not. At least there isn’t one and no wiring for one. No missing holes and no unplugged connectors.

back story on the machines is the owner had them in his garage for quite some time but said he did have them on location working. Very straight forward guy so I have no reason to doubt him.

the gvc1 manual shows an option in 3.6 to toggle the drop sensor on or off. Either setting it still uses the sensor for the soda machine and still drops 3 snack items. Like the setting changes nothing. Further down in the gbc1 manual it states that the drop sensor can be disabled for entire rows or just for single items. Exactly what I’m looking for. Though this section of programming I just cannot access. Like is it a hidden setting or something?

the board is a green board. Maybe someone swapped it at one time and these advanced options like disabling drop sensor on certain items is only available on certain board revisions?

anyone have any experience with this? I’m betting I need a new board.

thanks!

Resolved.  For anyone who has the same problem....

You have to change the entire machine over to "snack" under the 4.3 menu.

Then change just the "row" for the slave machine (80 in my case) over to "Can" 4.2.

If you change it by individual items, "snack" is not an option.

Also note that this version of snack machine does not use a drop sensor.
