remotecellphone
Got HC.ERR message (Health Control) on my Crane National 455 frozen machine. Machine says temp reached 37F so everything is waste and thrown in the trash. There was no power outage and evap is not frozen. When I physically checked the items they were frozen though I can see that the ice cream had melted. I replaced the temp sensor yesterday and both temp and defrost settings are set to factory default. This machine has worked fine for over a year and just ran into this issue last week. Anyone experience this before? All help is appreciated thanks!
AZVendor
You had a melt down. Figuring out why is typical troubleshooting. Was there a power outage? The location should be able to tell you and your other machines might have had programming issues after. Is the machine 4-6" away from the wall for compressor airflow? Are the vent screens, front and back, clean? Is the condenser clean? Are there burned out or flickering florescent lamps in or near the machine, including the ceiling? They will cause pulses that the logic board doesn't know what to do with. Is the power clean from the wall? Is ANYTHING else on the circuit? Does the defrost cycle work properly in the machine? There you go, plenty to work with. Edited September 2, 2022 by AZVendor

Regarding the defrost cycle, how can I verify that it is working properly? Ive checked the manual but the instructions are only on how to set the defrost cycle. Thanks again for the help!
