What does it mean if the machine says DMx pending on the vending machine

Never heard of that and I would venture to say this is not a reputable US-made machine in question.  Most of us can't even try to help you without knowing the model of your machine.

Colud that actually be "DEX" pending?  That would mean it is trying to send telemetry data...
