xeir Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 After a few minor pauses, grin .. You can now officially download the demo/beta version from: http://vendsure.net/ The DEMO/BETA is fully functional excepting: - Will handle a total of 15 total locations - Can be run 30 times - Will run for 1 hour at a time per launch I hope everyone enjoys trying it out! Edit: The HanDBase PDBs (flat file database files) are not included with the demo at the moment, but I will be posting them for download as well. And as I am sure that no matter how hard we tried, there is bound to be something small that we missed. For example: IF there is a problem creating the initial DB, click 'save' first. Can't remember offhand if I fixed that particular one. It's been a long couple of weeks. See, there's always something, chuckle.
JPVendCo. Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I think this is a bit difficult for the average user. at a minimum you need links to the other stuff you need to download.
Outlander Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hello all, Just wanted to let you know that there is a test database, vendsure_testDB.sql, that can be used to see how most everything works. It is in the Vendsure directory with the executable. There are seven locations in the file with varying numbers of machines and service records. Use the Restore option under the Task menu to install the file and you are ready to go. Please give use feed back. The more we get, the better Vendsure gets.
Outlander Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hey JD, The Urls for the downloads are all in the readme.txt file. This file is a step by step instruction for the download and installation of all the files and need to be followed in order so that everything will work. There are also links to the downloads on the installation page on our web site, they are at the top of the page for each of the operating systems. Curl is only needed to be downloaded for the Windows installation. We generally only give the link to the download page. If we do it to the individual file download and they change something, it will no longer work. Hope that helps Fred
Outlander Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 We had a hiccup so hold off on trying it for the moment, VendSure BETA/DEMO for: OS X & Windows .. Temporarily offline A minor bug that wasn't caught at beta release is causing the Date popup not to function properly. This has been fixed and will be posted once internal testing is complete. Fred
