ljgregory Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 How would you know what to offer. I am thinking this includes the location too. I would need more information in order to make an offer. Here's' the link off Craiglist. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/bfs/1200694994.html. I need advice. ' Thanks, Ljgregory
mxer518 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 the questions to ask are: 1. age and condition of machines 2. location demographics i.e. # of employees/customers, type of business... 3. is there a contract in place, the length of the contract, and dose it include a non compete clause? 4. can income records be shown for the location 5. commissions paid? and at what % gross or adj gross 6. Why are they selling it I always make sure i go with the person selling the machine to service the location to see if the business owner is happy with the service or to see the actual location specs and most important to see if any money comes out of the machine. I once had a guy tell me he had a machine full size snack and soda in this location for 5 years that he was trying to sell me and when i insisted i go with him when he services it the business owner told him to get it out, "we tried it for a few weeks and decided its not for us". so to make a long story short i almost got screwed on what i thought was a solid location.
ljgregory Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 Thanks for the information. He email me back with I can go with him this Saturday to look at the route. The reason why he's selling is because he's consolidating some of his route and this one is too far. If everything checks out what's a good offer, he says the machine is making 80ish buck a week. Thanks, linda
ljgregory Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 I briefly spoke with the seller today about the location. It's only one machine snacks & sodas for $1800.00 & location. The location is for a Direct TV call center. It makes about $80.00 a week and extra money every 2 months because of training classes. I forgot to ask is there a contract in place. I have schedule to meet with him on location to service it, but the owner will not be present. If everything goes okay it would be a 30-30 min drive for me. Advice Please.
