Sfennel
So, I just purchased a Rainbow Crane (NC42). It’s meant as a Christmas gift for my kids. Sadly, I can’t get it to work. It shows an 8 on the control screen and the motors seem to be fine. I’m just not sure where to start. The claw machine claw hangs about 6” down. Is it possible that I need to spool the rope tighter? The original sale video had it tight

The original sale video had it tight Just an FYI.....In the future you will need to post your questions for this type of machine in the Amusement Vending Forum. There is a manual in the downloads section here that may help you now and in the future ....... It lists error code 8 as "Forward Limit Switch Jam" so I would start by inspecting that switch. Make sure it's not broken, bent or has any broken connections. How was the machine delivered to you and was the gantry (the crane head that goes back and forth) removed prior to transporting the machine? Often people move claw machines and leave the crane head connected and free to move around which often leads to problems once you get it to it's destination. Anytime you transport a claw machine you need to disconnect and remove the crane head first or at the very least, completely immobilize it (and the claw itself) so it can't move around. I would also check the string routing (diagram is in the manual) and make sure it is correct. 1
Sfennel
So, the switch is definitely broken. Sadly, I transported it myself and I did not disconnect anything. Now I’m having a problem finding a replacement switch. The limit switch I’m looking for has the following info on the side: TMCG40 9741(2) 2TMT14-4 10A,1/3HP. 25,250VAC 0,25A,250VDC, 0,50A,125VDC id appreciate any guidance in locating a replacement limit switch or something that could be substituted

Basically you can just google the part info and search for the best pricing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/392955688909?hash=item5b7dfbf7cd:g:im0AAOSwNGNfazkn&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoKDE55hk23fciFrnGPDNxiVTb%2BYxu0E5wmMdaYSY864dhnX8A9fFG4tAab2njkSpN1pOzM%2FP20kTWz%2BMOiYfcMI9XsWm6CM77qFwKlzp9rmV6kpjpq5QtB5PHKe8fUgGCEYbwf8L8ZCLMYrc2ng33dePy9zo0hHYY2TZbpimGU8dKXdN1D%2FmS33r%2Bb%2BVBz2WF1Pc3KWZ5zqk6D9gwoQLffI%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7qxlLWXYQ
Sfennel
Not sure I could mount that one. I don’t see any screw holes, nor do I see a third wire male end. The power would work, but not sure how I’d mount it
gumball guy
The male is underneath and that's why the switch is tipped up in the picture. I have never seen any of these micro switches without mounting holes so I'm guessing they are there but you can't see them due to the low quality picture. You can always send a note to the seller to confirm. I would encourage you once again to shop around for price. I googled only TMCG40 2TMT14-4 and got several hits.
