Bill validator problems

I have an ap 112 that has the dixie narco up stack acceptor in it.  The validator started to go bad so I purchased a mei 2500 series from ebay.  Little did I know that the ap 112 calls for a 110v validator and the one i bought is 24v.  Is there any way that I can convert it or do I need to go out and buy another validator??  If I need a new one which one should i get.  I can only find deals for the 24v validators
