Tbehm
I just received a 1982 Vendo 220-125 ez load. I am having trouble finding information on this machine. I also wanted to set up this up for free vend but my female Johnson plug looks nothing like what. I see on YouTube. My plug has three rows an only the bottom and some of the top have active pins or it looks that way. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated
AZVendor
That machine uses a normal single price plug since it's from 1982 so it can be made to free vend like any other single price machine. You do have though, a very old machine which is a lowering shelf machine. Here is the manual for it: https://e4995306-5b39-4820-8d83-ef2846e90a02.usrfiles.com/ugd/e49953_843b133e2b2c47e5a2fc3aa609f8c52a.pdf
Tbehm
Thank you very much for the manual. sorry what does a single price machine mean? And how do I set it to free vend?
Vendo Mike
Single price means that everything in the machine has the same vend price. It is set in the coin mech using dip switches. You'll need to wire up a "free vend" switch to get free vends. There is a wiring diagram for that on this site. It's generally easier to set the machine to vend for 5 cents and keep a cup of nickels around the machine.
Geezer70
I have the same model as you however mine is 11 years older than yours. By reading your data plate it was built in 1978. SSN 8 = year. K = May. F = Can, if it was a bottle machine it would K in place of F. Mine was built November 67.
