The SBC replaced the S2D. The display harness is different, though I've never seen a 10 select 501E.

Gotcha. When I was speaking with the guy at DNS he made it seem like SBC predates S2D and that they were impossible to find because they were so old.

this 501E is a special edition with a unique Dr Pepper themed front. Photo attached for reference. 9BFCCEEB-2731-4D85-9F40-95EF0C4A09DE.thumb.jpeg.41d88fe68cd67793fa24c0b15cb3ec73.jpeg

I've never seen that model before. Is it still 8 columns or did they change it to 10 narrow columns? It was probably built before Crane bought them and effed up the company.

I think those are standard E series Cabinets with 8 narrow/1 wide columns. Just more buttons on the door, like if it were a Coke Wave or Pepsi HVV.

8 columns. Yeah I could not find any info on it to save my life until recently. Finding the online manual took some fine detective work!

I really don't know what the SBC board but the MPC predates the sii board which predates the sii-d.  And now the siii-d is the latest.  I thought the SBC was for glassfronts.

The SBC board came after the Pegasus board was for soda machines and may have been an unneeded upgrade (like the Pegasus abortion was) to the SIID.  That was about the time that DN sold themselves into slavery with Crane.

I was told by the guys at DNS at the the SIID board would actually work on this unit, as they are almost identical

Wow! I wonder why they are so hard to find but the SII D seem the opposite

Like I said, the SBC was produced at the end of Dixie Narco's independence and the whole landscape changed when they were sold into servitude to Crane. The SIID is abundant because it had been in production for 15-20 years.

I think there is an adapter harness plugged into the display harness. Might have to remove that.
