SnackShackVending
My Cb500 with mcm5 today got discriminator light blinking today. So I opened top case above casette and a quarter fell out. But it didn't solve issue like I thought cause light kept blinking even after everything unplugged and turned back on. So I cleaned above cassette and everything I could get to. But still nothing and change goes right to return and bills just get broken down and returned. I also noticed I had bad back motor and did motor count and says 9 and displays 15no and won't vend so could that also cause my issues like that motor not in correct turn spot? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SnackShackVending
It's a cb500 or I believe 3189 is same thing. But it's the outdoor rated cb500 wittern.
tblake05
Didn’t know they made an outdoor version.... afaik cb500... 3189 square buttons mcb12 board 3500 round buttons gvc1 board though none of that matters. To me it sounds like a bad mech.
AZVendor
Or a 9302GX.
SnackShackVending
Ok so it's definitely a cb500 then circle buttons. So it's probably a bad mcm5 coin mech thats causing the problems?

So it's probably a bad mcm5 coin mech thats causing the problems? The term cb500 is a bit general. The round buttons are likely a 3500. The older version is a 3189. Both are considered CB500 or BC10 but the 3500 has a very different board from a 3189
SnackShackVending
But what I want to know is the coin mech causing it to return coin in money drop and break 1s into quarters meaning mcm5 is defective?
AngryChris
Sounds like the coin mech. Those conlux like to get that discriminator error. They are good mechs though.
