MDB to USB Power

Recently had a need for USB power internally in a VM

(Surveillance camera & nano router for Nayax VPOST)

 

Both these devices are normally powered from a 110/240VAC plug pack so a hassle getting an extension cable into VM.

 

I’ve been given a tip (Mal @ SWAS) that power from MDB socket can be used to supply power to a USB socket.

Parts needed:

MDB “Y” cable – I used one off dead note acceptor

To ensure payment devices get power 1^st, we plug this after note acceptor & before coin mech.
