tdlacarbo
New guy here with my first vending machine. This will be going into a Pool Hall and is an AP LCM4 Combo Machine. I would like to upgrade the current bill validator (vfm1-l2-u4c) to something that accepts up to $20 bills. I would also like to put billiards items in it, such as Gloves, Chalk, and other small items that aren't in typical vending packaging. Can you recommend a validator and method of vending for the oddly shaped items? My thought was to staple some to an index card to help it not get jammed up, or even putting them in small clear boxes that would dispense easily. Open to any experience you may have! Thanks in advance for your help!!
Vendo Mike
MEI (now CPI) build the VN series to replace the VFM series that you have but they didn't accept higher than a $5 for vending. If you use the AE series which were built for amusements, some models accept up to $100 bills but compatibilty with the AP and whatever coin mech could get interesting. You might consider going completely cashless to avoid those headaches.
AZVendor
The VN will take up to a $20 with proper programming of it. Change payout will be the big problem. I agree with a card reader and no bill acceptor and blocking the coin slot because the coin mech still has to be in the machine. As to your odd products, you'll just have to experiment but there are lots of different spiral loop counts available. Look at Vendors Exchange for them. orsd
Cheap plastic bags slightly bigger than an index card or business card, look on eBay or Ali express. Put a blank card in each bag and the product in front.
