Vendo VEC Board Replacement Options

Recommended Posts

So, I found out that my control board died. A lizard had made a home behind the board and got quite a shock. The result was a completely fried board.

My question is, do I have to replace the board with the exact same model and revision? It seems that this exact 5.1b is a little hard to find and expensive. I have seen a 5.1 Ver 1.068 on ebay for under $100. I have also seen a 5.2 for $140.

5.2 boards are for Coke doors.  Get any 5.1b board and you'll be fine.  Why not do an exchange board with Dieb or Vendors Exchange?  You don't have to buy a board outright unless yours is not repairable such as the traces lifting off the board.  That might be the case with yours but I can't tell.

Unfortunately, traces are beyond lifting. They have been burnt to a crisp.

Okay, so a 5.1 board will not work then. It must be a 5.1b
