KDVENDING
My Wittern 3502 keeps displaying this Opt error message when put into service mode. I bought a new drop sensor that did nothing. The machine can’t tell when something drops so it keeps vending and then still allows the credit that’s why I got a new drop sensor but opt still shows. The machine was plugged into a outlet with three other machines(it was the current situation at the location). My snack machine that was also connected on the same outlet had some wierd issues where prices wouldn’t change. Since I’ve unplugged the 3502 the snack machine has zero issues. Did the machine being plugged into the outlet fry the board? What does opt mean?
tblake05
I don't believe OPT is an error..... Did you adjust the drop sensor sensitivity? Might want to change the board battery 2032. Then complete a re-setup by this form. If that doesn't work, might have a bad board. Is it a green board or a Blue board? Just wondering.
KDVENDING
Drop sensitivity is as low as it will get. Pretty sure it’s a green board. @tblake05 1 hour ago, KDVENDING said: My Wittern 3502 keeps displaying this Opt error message when put into service mode. I bought a new drop sensor that did nothing. tblake05
Just because... measure the voltage on the two wire plug with orange and white wires (maybe a green for ground in there as well). Should be a 24v AC, might be a little high with the board disconnected. If it's low, you will need a transformer. When you immediately turn the machine on, the screen will flash a 4-digit code (firmware version). What is that code?
tblake05
Heads up, that document probably won’t match the green board exactly. 11 minutes ago, KDVENDING said: Drop sensitivity is as low as it will get. Pretty sure it’s a green board. @tblake05
tblake05
Plus how is your chute mounted inside the machine? Anchored in the front and floating in the back?
AZVendor
You can't put that many machines on a single circuit. Try to put the soda machine on it's own circuit without any extension cord. OPt is the Options menu. According to USI this is a GVC1 board. Here is the programming for it: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0610/5251/8627/files/Model-3502-3502A-Service_Manual-4215422.pdf?v=1666249267
KDVENDING
@tblake05 chute is anchored in the front and floating in the back. It’s particularly the back right items that don’t activate the drop sensor it’s Gatorade.
AZVendor
You should put 12 or 16 oz cans in the back corner columns because they will cleanly fall with impact on the chute which plastic bottles can't do. They are slow to release and some just barely tap the chute, which is what's happening to you.
tblake05
I wish I could get to the bottom of why some wittern boards do this. There've been a few guys lately on the forum with the same issue. One was a brand new machine. Plus I had one a while back. I had to put a different board into mine.
