vendpaka
Greetings! I'm looking to buy a 6600 snack machine but seller says the machine powers on then powers off...they're using an extension cord and the ground pin on the machine plug is missing. Could that be the issue or could it be a deeper problem like a control board. Other possibilities I can think of are, a weak fuse or breaker somewhere, bad contact being made in the board plug...[shoulder shrug] any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!! tblake05
I doubt the ground lug can cause that. But you really should have one. what is the voltage out of the transformer?

AZVendor
A missing ground will generally allow random interference to filter into the machine or prevent stray voltage on the wrong pin of the outlet to go to ground. There is also a light ballast filter to put on to prevent florescent interference that this machine is prone to. What you're describing it possibly a weak transformer not a missing ground. Here is the manual and the wiring diagram with voltages is the last page. https://www.dsvendinginc.com/images/vending-machine-manuals/automatic-products-rmi/model-6000-snackshop-parts-manual.pdf

Tested it and it's working amazingly. I suspect that the seller didn't know that the display doesn't show anything until you put money in. They may have also been impatient to let the machine reset when plugging it in or pressing the door switch which takes a few seconds. If you put money in before it resets the machine will spit money back out and do nothing appearing to be a "dead" machine, so patience is key with these machines. Thanks again for your input! I have added to my toolbox: a multimeter and the confidence to use it, thanks to this forum!
