IndyJon
Hello and please forgive me if this is posted in wrong spot or is a duplicate thread. I am new to this and this is my first post. I have a pepsi machine and a snack machine that I recently purchased. I have always wanted a vending machine and finally purchased a couple. I installed a new LED light in the snack machine and also installed a used coin mech in the pepsi machine (a vendo 570 I believe). Previous owner took the entire coin mech and the coin collection bin. I have been reading and taking in all I can but am stuck on a few things. At first I could not get machine to cycle any soda or accept any money. I installed a lock and after honing my used coin mech, re positioning the slides that hold bottles, and cleaning bill acceptor, I was able to get some action! I am not sure what mode I have the machine in but drinks are now $1. However, the machine displays the amount of money I put in and then gives it all back after I get a drink. The display now reads $2.40, and the machine will send out the "new amount" if I push the coin return button. After about 15 minutes the display will go back to "0" but the money return and such continues the same as above. I do not have all slots full as I am still trying to test and get it running normal. Would anyone be able to lend me their thoughts? I will post video of the action and pictures too, but I wanted to first make my initial post. Again, please pardon any error in the post but I have never posted to any forum before and this is my initial post here. Thank you all for all info that I have already taken in from reading, and for reading this! Please let me know if I said enough (or too much..haha) or if there is anything else I left out or made a mistake on. Thanks everyone and have a good day. Gizmo Vending
This machine each column will need to be primed before it vends a product. You can either test vend or buy the selection until it starts vending products. Seems that you are inadvertently changing prices. If you are not then you’ve got some serious problems. Here’s a manual to the machine: https://www.dsvendinginc.com/images/pdf-manuals/v15.pdf
IndyJon
Thank you very much! I have been reading and looking but have never worked with these machines in depth. I have been trying to switch modes but it has been by pushing the mode button once, trying a selection, and then pushing mode button again - repeat. I was not aware that I needed to hit mode a certain amount of times and then push another button. I also think I put in the wrong model number on my initial post. I am going to try and post some images , worth 1,000 words. Thanks again for the reply and the link. I will be doing some more tonight or tomorrow. The machine initially had 20 oz bottles and a monster drink but my first attempt was with 16.9 oz without adjustment (I did not learn the above without trial and error, and there happened to be 3 very flat 20 oz in the machine). I believe the original owner sold machines with the property and I got them from property buyer that spoke English as a 2nd language. With that I never spoke to original owner that removed coin mech, and the machine had no manual inside. Sorry to ramble.
IndyJon
Here is a picture of the missing coin bucket. I am not sure how the coins will get down to that area when I do put a bucket in there. I know my coin mech is dated, but I got a good deal on ebay and wanted to test the machine overall before I dove in too deep. Thanks again for chatting with me. I am still trying to get the hang of posting on here also! Have a good day.
AZVendor
Here is the coin box you need: https://www.dsvendinginc.com/p-6497-d1088058-vendo-coin-box.aspx This is much cheaper than anything on fleabay I just noticed. Then get yourself a Coinco 9302GX coin mech that will work in your machine. Edited July 13 by AZVendor
IndyJon
Hello and Thank you. I have been cleaning the machines and have the soda stocked with all "sold out" lights off. I have also been able to vend and get drinks, after I re trained the coin mech (but not consistently because I had to stop to align shelves for new sized drinks, clean coin mech, etc). E-bay was only used because I have no vending connections or experience with sales and networking in the area so my first options were to get what I could find and get in the pool. Coin mech went in on Fathers Day weekend. I now know that dusty coins and blown air led me to the "clean" unit lights flashing, and then the "replace unit" leds flashing - I got a replacement for that mech and proceeded. I am going to update the mech and get the coin box but I want to get the machine right as far as pay it and vend, pay it and vend, etc. I am worried now that I might damage the machine or motherboard with accidental ineptitude. I agree with that I have inadvertently put the machine into some odd mode and have not been able to just put the machine on "regular". Today I thought I re set it as I had all prices at $1.50 (I had them at $1.00 before). I have read, I have printed several manuals, and I have adjusted all dispesing shelves, but I am at an impasse and do not want to get everything out of whack. Would someone mind telling me what I should press to just get the machine on it's "regular" setting to where the machine is set to just take money and vend the drink? I am not sure at all that I am not in service or test mode or anything else. I don't want to cause myself more problems by setting each slot at a different price or doing something else on accident. If I could get a hand to just start at the start line I would greatly appreciate it. P.S. I am also very new at this forum and icon functions and can't use it properly on my phone, so if someone that has replied sees that I was online but did not answer, pardon me please. I have to wait to get back to my laptop before I can comment or reply. I'm Not ignoring anything. Thank you all for your time and help so far - even well before I had signed up. Have a good afternoon! -Jon

Here’s a manual to the machine: https://www.dsvendinginc.com/images/pdf-manuals/v15.pdf Thank you Sir. Does "primed" mean that there is a bottle of soda under where they are all stacked within the machine (where it turns in a circle to vend the product)? There were a few sodas - old and flat - in that position when I bought it but I thought they may have fallen down there when we moved it. I think I know what you mean but I have been taking them out from the bottom and putting them back on the pile of stocked drinks. I just re posted because I seem to be at a bit of an impasse and don't want to change things further or get myself 3 more problems to solve rather than the 1. Thanks again for your reply and have a good afternoon. I appreciate it. -Jon
Gizmo Vending
To prime it you are essentially loading the bucket to be in a position to be ready to dispense products. Without priming, people will walk up, purchase a drink and nothing. Most vending customers won’t say anything to you, they’ll just not buy anything from here on out.. Make sure you get rid of the flat sodas.
IndyJon
Thank you. I got it primed and put an LED light in there instead of buying those $50 bulbs. She seems all good! I hesitated on buying a current coin mech because it would have been more than I paid for machine. I wanted to make sure it was all good before further investment. Seems like it was actually a good deal that I found for the soda and snack machine. Thank you again for the help. Much appreciated. -Jon

I will be getting a coin mech when mine goes out or gives me more trouble than a cleaning and quick tear down will fix. I got a great price on the machine so if I put a newer mech in there out of the gate, it would have cost me more than machine, and I wanted to be sure that all else was good and functional first. I am going to cut some duct metal and tac me a coin bucket together. I have the stuff around so at least that is not a big deal. I will be upgrading some other parts soon as needed. Thanks again for the input. - Jon
