Azrepoman68
I hope that someone can help me, I recently purchased a DN 501E and I want to convert it to 16.9 oz bottles. I have been told I need a kit to change cam settings and shims? Some kits include springs rods sleeves and shims. So I am confused. Thanks for any help you can provide! Gizmo Vending
For any narrow column you are wanting to sale 16.9 oz drinks you will need bottle shims and rod and spring assemblies for each column. Cam setting set to # 3 for 2 deep. The problem with kits is, can kits have the rod and springs but can shims only. Bottle kits have bottle shims and no rods and springs. What you need to do is figure out how many rods and springs you have, and how many bottle shims you have. I do not know about the wide column. AZVendor
If it's set for all 20 oz bottles now you might get away with using the bottle shims in it but you'll need to set the rotors up for 12 diameters (same as 16.9 oz) but putting a bare rod and spring into the middle holes, front and back, of each rotor of the narrow columns. Follow the set up guide that is on your inner door for settings. The wide column would just need the appropriate plastic shims used for 12 oz cans. The motor timing is dependent on the depths of the products (2 vs 3) and there are three possible settings for two deep so you'll have to experiment.
