vendpaka
The coin mech in a Snackshop 6600 will only return credits if i manually open the swinging door that opens with the return lever. I can press the lever all the way down but nothing happens, I have to manually open it wider than the where it stops with the lever in order for it to register a return. My question is how does this mech know when the door is open? is there a switch that is triggered? a magnet/sensor? What would be causing it to not register as opened when the coin return lever is all the way down, and to only register when opened really wide manually? AZVendor
You will need to get your coin mech repaired to fix this issue. The coin return function should work with just a light press on the lever so obviously something is not right. You can often get an exchange mech. AngryChris
Just brainstorming, but I'd check to make sure no wires are getting moved around on the board when you close the door. As old as those machines are, you could have any number of hairline cracks on soldered joints causing problems. You could have a jumper wire sticking out that gets moved just a bit everytime you close the door if something is pushing on it.
AZVendor
Naw, what he's describing is the coin acceptor being the problem.
