ICT Bill Acceptor Saying Box is Full (six blinks)

Recommended Posts

I've got an ICT bill acceptor on a combo machine and it's giving me error code with six blinks which means box is full but it is completely empty. It'll take one bill and then it doesn't get pushed into the box so now it is jammed. Any solution other than to just replace it all together?

If you've nailed down that the stacker is jammed, make sure nothing is physically in the linkage.  Assuming that's clear, you'd need to send it out to have the stacker motor replaced.  While in for service, I would have the unit rebelted while it's down.

Yes, everything is clear, not stuck, and would look perfect to the untrained eye. I'm newer to the biz so I'm just trying to figure out where to send it to get serviced and if it's worth it to repairs vs replacing as far as price goes. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you

Not sure where you're located but...

Changer Services is in Minniapolis/StPaul

Wachtor Electronics is Salt Lake City

Aeco Sales and Service is in Dallas and OKC

Vendors Exchange is out there somewhere.

Vendors Exchange and D&S are in Cleveland, but ditch the ICT for a better Mars acceptor.

Any suggestions on which one? Still a little inexperienced on this. It's for a genesis combo machine (yes I know they suck, will be replacing eventually)
