accepting money but not vending - AP 6600 Snackshop

Hello friends! One of my friend's Snackshops started acting funny...It will allow her to set prices, put in a dollar, but it will not let her put in a second dollar and ask that you use coins only. It then spits out any coins you put in it, and when you try to vend a $1 selection the buttons she presses wont even show on the display and nothing happens. 

I'm going to drive out to her location which is kind of far and do her the favor of checking it out but wanted to run this by you all for any ideas so i can be better prepared before I make that drive.

Did this just start happening? Did it work properly before? Make sure there is enough coins in the coin tubes. Fill them half way. Turn the escrow off so it will stack the bill when accepted. If those don’t help, try another coin mech. I am assuming this machine is factory board

You're awesome for the quick response! as far as I know it just started happening but I suspected both the coin tube and the bill escrow setting as well. I do have an extra coin mech that I will take with me just in case. Yup factory board still
