AMS compressor line frosting up

Recommended Posts

I haVve an older AMS 39 VCF that is frosting up the line going into the compressor. Once the machine reaches temp setting the compressor turns of and the frost begins melting. It does not go into drip pan so it is leaving a mess on ther floor. With the frost forming that far down to thew compressor would you suspect low freon or something else?

Thanks

Yes evaporated Dan is running. Evan coil does not seem to frost up. Cools machine fine. Cuts off at 34 degrees and kicks on at 49 degrees. Run quietly and smoothly

I love you man but the day you write a complete post without a typo or spelling error is the day I am going to consider retiring from vending lol

Add some insulation on the frosted line back to the compressor.  Someone shorted you on insulation.  If you keep getting frost then put your gauge on the low side.  You should get 18-20 lbs on that fitting if the fans are working and the vent screen is clear (door closed too.)
