What are your go-to resources online or offline to make your business happen?
This is open-ended, so add what you've used that has helped make you become successful.

Where you shop for new vending machines online?
Where you shop for used vending machines online?   facebook, craigslist, then where?
Where you shop for parts online?
Where you shop for drinks and snacks?  sam's, costco, then where?
What brands you have deemed the most reliable and cost-effective?  Brands of inside mechanisms?
What company do you use for credit card readers?
Anything else you want to add.

Really just want to pick some brains and trying to start off on the right foot.

So many open ended questions.  Never shop for machines online except to find local ones on Craigslist to go look at and then post here about before buying.  Online parts are D&S Vending or Vendors Exchange. There are others for certain parts. Grocery stores along with Sams and Costco. Machine brands are all US - AP, AMS, DN, Vendo, Royal, National, Crane, some USI.  NEVER Seaga. Mechs and validators - Coinco or MEI, whichever you choose.  The best 5 tube MDB mech is the MEI 7512i and the best bill validator is the MEI VN 2500 or 2700 now.  Card readers are a crap shoot, just stick to USAT or Nayax which both have bad customer service.  Don't use Crane payment systems.

Should be. Might need an MDB cable if it was ordered with non MDB payment systems originally but it should work with a cable. Might need an EPROM if it’s an early 157 to work properly with a card reader.

Exactly what he said ∆∆.  May have to order a new service keypad and perform a ram clear too.
