tblake05
Hi, quick question, I'll be installing card reader on an ap123. When I replace the eprom, is it a good practice to change the battery at the same time? Is it just a 9V? I didn't look that close. Thanks!
AZVendor
The battery is special. It's PN 380308 and it is 3.6V. It's not a bad idea to change it though if the machine can hold it's pricing when you unplug it for a while then the battery is good. Vendo Mike
Something we had to do on these boards pretty often. There is a cap that tends to continue to hold voltage to the ram in the AP123. If the board doesn't clear completely, you might have to do the following. After removing the battery (and the board is powered down) wrap some foil over all of the legs of the ram chip. This will drain that cap and fully clear the RAM. After that, install the update and your new battery. You'll have to reprogram pricing and any other specifics.
