MGoCaribbeanBlue
Good day all. Have a MEI 7000 coin mac that is not registering that the cassette is in place. IN the past I have had an issue with the cassette not sitting all the way back into the slot and once a little pressure is applied, it recognizes the cassette but in this instance it will not recognize it at all. Changed the cassette out with 2 different ones and same issue. Couldn't seem to figure out where and how the sensor is triggered. Is there a master diagram of these machines with descriptions of all of the parts/functions? Any help would be much appreciated.
AngryChris
I had one similar and I ended up taping it so it would be functional for a while. I sent it off to be repaired about 6 weeks ago. I have it back but haven't checked it out. Not worth my time to figure out how to fix it myself but I recommend just getting it repaired.

Where do you send your mechs & validators for servicing?
tblake05
I use Scott with Changer Services in St. Paul. They usually have what I need in stock for pickup or they'll ship. They even rebuild some control boards and can supply eproms. Very reasonable prices.
AngryChris
Vendors exchange drives to my location every 3 weeks so I use them
MGoCaribbeanBlue
I operate on demand water vending in the US Virgin Islands and used to send them to Puerto Rico to be repaired but that is no longer an option. Shipping here is the big issue/expense. If a stateside company uses FedEx or UPS, we are classified as International and our rates are astronomical. Thanks for the heads up on the repair service as I am in desperate need for a new vendor.
tblake05
Sounds like a niche business in your area. Maybe you should learn how to rebuild them!

I'm sure shipping rates are insane but it feels like your pricing for your products and/or services should be able to reflect that.

AZVendor
People in remote locations always think that vending suppliers should live next door to them. They never think of this before getting into the business.
MGoCaribbeanBlue
Well that was super helpful. If you read the post you would have noticed that the items used to be sent to Puerto Rico and that is very close but not an option. Been in business for 30 years amd am well aware of the pitfalls of operating here. Unless you had something constructive to offer, keep your useless comments to yourself.
AZVendor
I thought you were a new vendor. Hard to tell from new posts.
